"If you ever start feeling like you have the goofiest, craziest, most dysfunctional family in the world, all you have to do is go to a state fair. Because five minutes at the fair, you'll be going, 'you know, we're alright. We are dang near royalty."
-- Jeff Foxworthy
I'd bet money that I have the best family in the world. Sure, everyone thinks that about their own family, but mine is the best. No battle.
I don't believe it's accident who ends up as our brothers and sisters. From each of my siblings, I have learned little lessons. Whether they knew it or not, each one of them has taught me something. The best part of our relationship is that we actually get along. Notice this is in present tense. We won't bring up the past...
Which brings me to the actual topic of this post. This Valentine's Day was one of the best. I thought I'd be wallowing in self pity... my valentine is not here... waaaah, waaaah.
My brother, and my sisters and I went to Winger's for dinner then to see Valentine's Day. (wings!) The movie was cute and funny. I really liked it... much better than Dear John (I did not like that movie!)
The next day I made Valentine treats with my mom and sis. We decorated cookies and made heart pastries.
Valentine's Day is not just about romantic love it's about all kinds of love. It's about spending time with those you care about... or thinking about those you can't be with at the moment. :)

Sniff Sniff. So cute! I'm glad you had a good Valentine's Day. I actually bought you a little chocolate heart thing because I knew you would be without your valentine, but I forgot to give it to you. It's still sitting on my bedroom dresser. Oops!
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh you sentimental fool! Our family does ROCK!
You are so lucky to have such a great family. I feel the same way about mine. Hope valentines day wasn't too lonely, I am sure your husband misses you!
I agree that Valentine's is about 'all kinds of love' It sounds like you had a good one. And I love your quote at the top... it is SO true! I love the fair!!
